Campaign for an Artificial Intelligence Moratorium for Massachusetts Schools

Artificial intelligence is being pushed into classrooms in spite of a growing body of research that indicates it can harm the social and cognitive development of students. In addition to those hazards, there are serious privacy implications tied to these tools and ethical issues in employing models containing the personal information and intellectual property of individuals who may have never been informed or consented to their inclusion.

At this moment, there is simply no appropriate place for generative artificial intelligence in our schools.

AIM for MA is a campaign to get each school in Massachusetts to implement a two-year moratorium on any student-facing generative artificial intelligence products.
